Nutrition for the Elderly

There is one thing I know for sure: the elderly do not receive proper nutritional advice to lead a healthy life in the United States. The elderly are one of our most valuable assets because they have knowledge, stories, and information from a time in this world we will never have a chance to experience. So why do we not provide the same token in return for giving the elderly the most up-to-date nutritional information to benefit their longevity? We provide them with medication and boxed protein supplements like ensure, but no one goes the extra mile to show them the benefits of functional and herbal medicine. For those willing to listen, there is so much to learn.

The elderly need many vitamins that their bodies can no longer absorb naturally or cannot get enough. These vitamins include potassium, vitamin B12, vitamin D, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium, probiotics, prebiotics, and digestive enzymes. Unfortunately, there are not many natural solutions marketed toward the elderly to create longevity. However, I have found one company that produces a fantastic product that the elderly could utilize. This product is a protein & supplement meal replacement called Ka’chava. Ka’chava is packed with all the vitamins and minerals the elderly lack, plus plant-based protein, fruits, and vegetables. It is also a very accessible solution because it takes very little time to prepare. You add one scoop of powder to 12oz of water and mix until it dissolves. This one powder can replenish the vitamins an older adult lacks daily without taking a million different pills. There needs to be more healthy knowledge shared with the elderly. So please share this with someone you know who may benefit from this information. You are never too young to start thinking about the longevity of your health.
