ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Since a young age, one of my favorite places to be has been in the kitchen. I love any opportunity to be creative and was initially inspired by Buddy Valastro’s “Cake Boss.” Buddy had a way with desserts, and I credit his show for helping kickstart my food journey. At just ten years old, I began with an Instagram baking page full of eccentric desserts called @cake_cupcake_baker and have been playing in the kitchen ever since.

The only thing I love more than cooking and enjoying a great meal is watching other people get inspired and find joy through food. My friends at Michigan State University, where I’m currently studying Environmental Economics and Entrepreneurship, can attest to this. I’ve always been full of ideas when it comes to food. However, at the start of COVID-19, I was desperate for a creative outlet to help fill my time and serve as a therapeutic release. I decided cooking was much more than a hobby to me and began to compile all of my family and friends' favorite dishes so that I could share my love of cooking with others. My creativity has turned into reality with "The Cut Cookbook" that I was able to make one of them real. It’s been an incredible journey being able to see the recipes I’ve dreamed up at all hours of the day and night come to life on paper. 

I hope that someday, The Cut™, filled with 100+ delicious eats, is a one-stop-shop for all your recipe needs. My goal is to help others have more fun and get comfortable expressing themselves in the kitchen, just like I have.
